Christmas in Corfu

Christmas in Corfu is magic!  The senses are flooded, the city is adorned, the lanterns are lit, the firs take place in the shop windows and in the houses, the Christmas carols dominate, and the smells of melomakarona and kourabiedes are mixed with the sea breeze on our enchanting island. December remains in the memory as a favorite holiday month, as a month of celebration, love and offering. Family and friends gather, the tables are decorated and the atmosphere on the island is extremely festive . The smell of cinnamon, butter, honey and nuts wafts from homes, bakeries and patisseries.
